Independent Insurance Agencies, like other professionals who advise on personal financial matters, are now required by federal law to inform clients of their policies regarding privacy of client information.  Insurance Agents have been and continue to be bound by professional standards of confidentiality that are even more stringent than those required by this law.  We have always protected your right to privacy with respect to confidential information acquired by us for use in representing you.  This notice informs you of our privacy policy and describes how we treat information that we receive about you.

TYPES OF NON-PUBLIC PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

In the course of doing our due diligence for our clients, serving and comparing your insurance coverage to our insurance companies, we receive nonpublic personal information from our clients.  This nonpublic information is provided by you during an interview or from an application.  The type of nonpublic information includes:  name, address, social security numbers, driver license number, assets, liabilities, income, and other financial or household information.  Some information that we receive, with your authorization, will come from a third party like the Credit Bureau, CPA, Financial Institution, Attorney, Insurance Carrier.

 

All information this agency receives is held in strict confidence.  This nonpublic information is only released to persons or firms that need to know, in the course of our due diligence, while obtaining the best surety coverage at the best cost.

 

HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS HANDLED

We do not disclose any public or nonpublic personal information about you that you have provided to us to anyone outside this agency, except as authorized by you or required by law.  For example, with your consent, we may disclose personal information to a third party such as an insurance company, surety company, bank or lien holder.  This agency does not sell client information to anyone or disclose client information to marketing companies.

 

HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS PROTECTED

This agency restricts access to public and nonpublic personal information about you that you have provided to staff members who need to know the information to service your account.  All employees are required to maintain the confidentiality of all nonpublic personal information about you.  This agency maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with both federal law and our more stringent professional standards to protect the public and nonpublic information that you have provided to us.
